The Tasmanian state government has downgraded the bushfire e안산출장샵 안산안마mergency warning in the south-west, after several homes were evacuated from the town of Bridgwater.
Tasmanian Fire Service Assistant Chief Inspector Bob Johnson said several people were evacuated from Bridgwater, on the NSW border with New South Wales, after the evacuation zone was closed on Wednesday.
“No-one has been impacted,” he said.
“All that is at the moment is a closure for the immediate area.”
He described it as a “non-threatening bushfire situation” while people remained at risk.
Mr Johnson said while the cause of the blaze was “unknown”, it could have been caused by arson or by lightning strikes.
A statement from the government said it had declared a state of emergency and urged the public to remain at low risk areas.
There had been an increase in reports of bushfires in the South East in recent weeks.
