In January, Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams acknowledged that prosecutors “were aware of problems with the doctor but were unable to develop a comprehensive report” about what was happening. The District Attorney’s Office said, “The investigation is ongoing.”
“We are aware of problems with Dr. Gosnell and the doctors who performed this abortion. They are a priority for the District Attorney’s office. I believe they should face our charges and a jury trial on the charges presented against them,” said New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), who has said he will sign any death penalty bill this week.

While most doctors would not speak, one doctor who performed the procedures said he agreed with the charges brought against him.
