Simple Chipping Method
With Cleveland RTX-4 Wedges
Shots around the green don’t need to be complicated.
Here are 3 shots you will often find around the green, which you can play using the same simple technique.
The key here is to turn through, with the trunk (torso). By employing the larger muscles of the chest, rather than the small muscles of the hands and wrists, you can develop a simple technique which is stable and repeatable.
Glen shows you that by simply turning back and through with the trunk, keeping the hands, arms and legs quite passive, you can hit a variety of shots.
What you can change is the loft, by changing the club you are using or by opening the clubface if you need to hit the ball higher. The basic technique, of turning the trunk back and through, is the same for all of these shots.
Keep it simple, with good tempo, and you’ll be a short game master in no time!
