The Brassie Golf Club
Location, Location, Location – From the Indiana Toll Road or I-94, take the Chesterton exit and the course is just minutes away! Designed by architect Jim Fazio, The Brassie opened in 1998 to excellent reviews. The Brassie Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole championship facility open to the public that is considered by many to be one of the best golfing values in Northwest Indiana. Featuring gently rolling terrain, strategic bunkering, wide fairways and tall fescue rough areas, The Brassie has a very distinctive links style that offers a unique golf experience.
The best conditioned greens in the area are large and inviting yet present an interesting two-putt challenge. Stretching to 7,008 yards from the black tees with a slope rating of 130 and course rating of 73.4, The Brassie Golf Club has four very different sets of tees that provide a friendly golf challenge to some golfers and an extreme examination of your golf game to the highly skilled. Fun for all ability levels, the course plays very differently based on weather conditions and the time of year.
We have an excellent practice facility that includes a short-game area, putting green and full range and is always available to golfers seeking to remedy their weaknesses. The clubhouse overlooks the golf course; the snack bar with its spacious, shady patio is a comfortable place to watch golfers finishing on 18 and enjoy a nice lunch. In addition to a well-conditioned golf course, you will find a fully stocked golf shop with competitive prices and helpful staff. Make plans to use our large pavilion and convenient food services for your next golf event or large party. The Brassie staff looks forward to hosting you and your friends for a memorable golfing experience
Today, the Town of Chesterton, Indiana has a population of 13,000 – not to mention the seasonal influx of millions of tourists who visit our area every year. We’re known regionally as an artistic community, and visitors come from all over to take in our art galleries, historical sites, antique shops, annual festivals and much, much more.
But it’s more than tourist attractions that make Chesterton a prime destination for visitors, residents and businesses. Our ecological diversity has lead to the development of wonders such as the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve, many beautiful parks and the newly constructed Prairie-Duneland hiking and biking trail.
Amphitheater at a park
Our drive to develop green initiatives has also resulted in creation of a neo-traditional community, Coffee Creek Center – hailed as one of the world’s most innovative planned communities.
Small Town Living / City Opportunities
Tucked into the shadow of Indiana Dunes yet a mere 45 minutes away from Chicago, Chesterton combines the hospitality and serenity of small town living with the economic viability and cultural opportunities of a world-class city.
It’s not hard to see why Chesterton continues to gain international attention as one of the best places in North America to live, work and play.
