I think professional golf is changing. Modern golf courses make it difficult to compete unless you are smashing it off the tee 300 yards+, it’s just the way the game has gone on the whole. There are exceptions with places like Valderaama but they are few and far between.
My driving has improved but the next step is to find more speed. More speed=more distance, as long as you find the middle of the club face of course.
Myself and European Tour player, and winner Paul Waring discuss the importance of distance in the modern game and how I can go about achieving that extra yardage.
This will be an on going effort so I’ll keep you updated with how I’m getting on, the things I’m doing to gain speed and whether or not it actually works.
